Wills and Powers of Attorney
Victims of Crime Assistance
Matt grew up and completed school in Casterton in Victoria’s south west. He completed a Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University in Warrnambool in 2017 and was admitted to the Supreme Court in March 2018.
While studying Matt worked in hospitality before obtaining a position at Brown McComish Solicitors in March 2017 as assistant to principal, Pat McComish. After he was admitted Matt then joined the team as a solicitor working extensively in criminal matters in the Magistrates’ Court. He has since expanded his practice to include criminal trials and pleas in the County Court and appeals in the Court of Appeal.
He also assists clients to obtain compensation when they have suffered personal injuries at work, in a transport accident, a public place or as a victim of a crime. He also is passionate about obtaining compensation from Victims of Crime (VOCAT) to enable victims to engage in sorely needed counselling and programs for recovery, particular for victims of ongoing Family Violence.
Matt can also provide assistance and advice on planning your affairs by preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney. He can also help loved ones through the difficult time of executing and administering a Will.
He is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
His office hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
